City Acting Intermediate has been designed as a follow on from City Acting for Beginners. This course is open to anyone having attended some acting beginner classes. The classes run weekly for 8 weeks, 7-9pm. The registrations are currently opened for: * Venue: Goodge Street, WC1 - every Thursday from March 8th Fees : £195 (£175 concession) Course details This unique eight week course is an
opportunity to work on scenes and to explore drama in its many varied forms,
from Greek tragedy to farce to contemporary theatre. Each week, we will explore
a play or script from a particular genre, workshopping scenes, and focusing on
the specific skills demanded. The text will be a jumping-off point
incorporating other activities such as voice work, physical work, and text
analysis. We will seek to understand the characters and relationships within
the drama, as well as looking at the world of the play. Throughout the course there will be
the potential for individuals to thrive within a light-hearted, supportive and
enabling group, and to develop greater personal awareness, confidence and
expression. The drama course is spread over
8 weekly sessions of 2 hours each. We keep group sizes small (maximum
16) in order for the facilitator to give you a lot of individual feedback to
encourage an intimate, friendly, and fun atmosphere in which you can learn and
grow.

"The facilitator was excellent, she always had constructive feedback and direction. A very well thought-out course"
"I enjoyed the range of theatre that was covered, but also the different ways we approached each era. It helped to expand my understanding of the rehearsal process, as well as open my eyes to the variety of ways you can approach a text."
