City Acting Monologue & Presentation course has been prepared for people with no previous experience in public speaking. The workshop is perfect for anyone who would like to become more relaxed and improve their confidence when presenting alone in front of an audience or to be more confidently themselves in job interviews.
The classes run weekly for 4 weeks, 7-9pm, in:
* Angel, N1 - every Tuesday from 9 June until 30 June, 7-9pm
Fees: 4 week course £145
Max size group 12 participants
This 4 week workshop will enable the student to manage and use their nerves positively in order to become an effective and versatile presenter. You will have the opportunity to speak in front of an audience both with and without a script.
Using a variety of trusted as well as very contemporary techniques from Vedic breathing to Meisner, you’ll understand how you personally manage the perceived stress of presenting and how to accept and engage with your specific internal barriers preventing you from becoming your relaxed and authentic self. You’ll also look at the basics of performing a scripted monologue and use acting techniques that are themselves great aids to presenting.
Feedback and coaching form an essential part of this course. Your teacher will highlight areas for particular focus and offer you specific points to work on. Always taught in a relaxed and informal manner, this course is an opportunity to make friends and learn new skills.
The acting classes are spread over 4 weekly sessions of 2 hours each. We keep group sizes small in order for the facilitator to give you a lot of individual feedback and to encourage an intimate, friendly and fun atmosphere in which you can learn and grow.
