    Course details

This 6 week workshop will enable the student to manage and use their nerves positively in order to become an effective and versatile presenter, whether in-person or online. You will have the opportunity to speak in front of an audience both with and without a script.

Using a variety of very trusted as well as very contemporary techniques from Vedic breathing to Meisner, you’ll understand how you personally manage the perceived stress of presenting and how to accept and engage with your specific internal barriers preventing you from becoming your relaxed and authentic self. You’ll also look at the basics of performing a scripted monologue and use acting techniques that are themselves great aids to presenting.

    • Gain real confidence in front of an audience, both in-person and online
    • Feel the exhilaration of allowing yourself freedom to improvise within the presentation
    • Learn how to keep an audience engaged
    • Use vital Method acting techniques to give your presentation power and dynamism

Feedback and coaching form an essential part of this course.  Your teacher will highlight areas for particular focus and offer you specific points to work on.  Always taught in a relaxed and informal manner, this course is an opportunity to make friends and learn new skills.

The acting classes are spread over 6 weekly sessions of 2 hours each. We keep group sizes small in order for the facilitator to give you a lot of individual feedback and to encourage an intimate, friendly and fun atmosphere in which you can learn and grow.
