We're delighted to open the registrations for City Acting Character starting on Monday September 7th in Waterloo. The classes will be run by actor Alex Humes

This course will give the committed student a chance to develop a character over 8 weeks and to take a scene through the rehearsal process from beginning to end.

Each week participants will be introduced to new techniques from a variety of theatre practitioners including Stanislavsky, Laban, Meisner, Brecht and Chekov. At the beginning of the course, we will give each actor a role in a scene and, over the 8 week period, guide them through the process of building their character physically and emotionally. There will be great opportunity here for invention as the course facilitator enables the actors to find their most personal forms of expression and create a role that they find exhilarating, rewarding and cheer fun to play. 

City Acting Character has been designed as a follow on from Scene Work for Intermediates. This course is open to anyone familiar working with text.
